About Me

My photo
I am on a search to find out what being me really means........ I have a constant urge to travel and find myself. Yet dinner needs to be done by 6, and my homeschooler is avoiding work again, who has time for all that?? Right now all I know is I am married to a wonderful man who I love more than anything. I am a mother of 4 totally awesome but crazy kids. 2 of them have Autism, and what a ride that is. I am leaving all the rest to be discovered as I go. . . . Guess we will see.

HUGE Meteor Shower on 8-12-09

Hey Yall. What might be the busiest shower of the year is coming up in just over a week, in the morning of 8-12-09. We are all very excited and counting the days on the calendar. The girls have never seen a “”Shooting Star”” before and we have been telling them all about it. ((praying that it isn’t cloudy)) “C” is taking his big brother roll very seriously and says he will help them spot them and has been trying to explain about making wishes. Hahaha They are too much. I hope you all try to see a few.

The below info is copied from a wonderful blog site: www.meteorblog.com. Meteor Mark is just full of wonderful Meteor Information.
The Perseids Meteor Shower of August is one of the most famous astronomical summertime events. Some call the Perseids, “Ole Reliable” because every year it seems to deliver an extraordinary exhibit in the August skies. The Perseids Meteor Shower will peak this year in the morning of August 12 where meteors can be seen anywhere in the sky. To locate the showers radiant, one must look to the east/northeast in the hours after midnight. Meteor observation still remains one of the most difficult astronomical events to predict, but this year some scientists believe that the Perseids could produce up to 100 meteors per hour. Keep in mind this is an estimate based on perfect viewing conditions and results may vary for people in different locations.
